Staufen im Breisgau

Staufen im Breisgau is a historic, medieval small town, whose well preserved buildings give an account of life as it used to be. In the old town, called ”Staufener Städtle”, many colourful shops invite visitors to make discoveries. Strolling leisurely through the Staufener Städtle, you can take a glance at the impressive castle ruin on the castle hill at any time.

Freiburg im Breisgau

Germany’s southernmost and sunniest city invites you to an unforgettable and eventful stay. The high percentage of international visitors and students lend Freiburg a special multi-cultural aura.

Be enticed by the quite individual charm of the small city and get to know the town of little alleyways and ”Bächle” (artificial narrow water channels typical of Freiburg).

Many roads lead to Schauinsland (a Black Forest mountain), but none is as beautiful as that through the air! The Schauinsland cable car, which was built in 1930 and has been re-built several times since then, transports its passengers over more than 720 metres in height to the mountain station at the top of Schauinsland in 20 minutes. www.schauinslandbahn.de
